Cristiana Ruspa


Cristiana Ruspa graduated in Architecture cum laude from Politecnico di Torino in 1995. There she has also been Honorary Fellow for the study course “History of Gardens” in 1993-1994.

She enhanced her education and training in the landscape and garden fields travelling widely to study botanical gardens and parks and collaborating, in 1991, with the architecture and urban firm Duany Plater-Zyberck & Company (DPZ) in Miami, Florida, and, from 1993 to 1995, with¬†Paolo Pejrone‘s landscape architecture studio.

She founded then Giardino Segreto, landscape architecture and garden design studio, and, since 2005 she has been on the editorial staff of “The Plan” magazine.


She loves sports, including swimming, tennis, skiing and golf. From 1986 to 1992 she was a member of the Italian national golf team, earning four gold medal wins and one silver medal win. The experience of international golf championships in Europe helped spark her passion for nature, forests and trees.
